This 1911 engraving shows the main entrance of the Main Building shortly after the reconstruction. 
The tower survived the fire, but the observatory was lost and not rebuilt.  The stairs gave way in the 
1950's to a large slate deck over the top of the expanded dining hall. At this point in PMA's history, 
this was considered to be the front of the building.
