Of all things that could go wrong . . .

At approximately 0630 hours (less than 4 hours before formal dedication), Augie received a frantic phone call from the Peekskill School District.  During the prior night, vandals had come on to the campus and toppled the new monument.  Thanks to the services of a boom truck owned by Dominick Giusti, '69 the stone was righted shortly after 0800 hours.  We owe a deep debt of gratitude to Dominick, as well as the Custodial Staff of the Peekskill City School District for promptly notifying us, and then polishing the monument after it was reset.  (Dominick also provided the frame for the original PMA sign as seen on the first picture page as well as the stairs leading to the monument.)
