Governor Pataki and Congresswoman Kelly pay their
respects. |

Immediately following the unveiling, and
prior to the reading of the names, Alumni and Guests viewed the memorial.

Also present at the ceremony were Mayor Kelly and City
Council Members from Peekskill. Each of our honored guests,
including the Governor and our Congresswoman, expressed full support of our vision
for the rebirth of Peekskill Military Academy. We have approached
them with the goal of a new PMA, possibly located at Camp Smith.
To some, this may seem like a fantasy, but then again, three years
ago, did you ever expect to be a part of a vibrantly active PMA
Alumni Association? We will be back - bigger, stronger, better
than ever! |

After the unveiling, Neil Tucker '63 read the Roll of Honor
|
|

|
As the names of the War Dead were read aloud, our Cadet
Corps answered with the response "Died on the Field of Honor,
Sir." After more than 33 years of silence on these grounds, our PMA
brothers who made the ultimate sacrifice have once again been properly
and appropriately remembered, and shall be remembered and honored every
year on Memorial Day from this day forward. |

David Holmes '58 plays taps, accompanied by another
military bugler from the band, as the Honor Guard readys for the 21 gun
salute. |
